Hi Rob,
This may be the equivalent of the centre will not hold, unraveling as deconstruction, things coming apart, wondering with Kipling, "If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you ..." How does one promote compassion and kindness in the midst of random killing? Perhaps by continually strengthening the heart through equanimity and love.
Thanks, Rob for the New York Times link. The cathedral must have been a magical place during Sting's concert. I recall Moore writes about Sting in A Life at Work. Amidst the great unraveling, perhaps music helps to knit us together.
