Thomas Moore writes about his need to be close to the farm spirit, hence his residence in a rural area. This lovely documentary follows the life a man who embodies that spirit and follows his Original Self through the ups and down of farming, all the while letting his creativity see him through.
Farmer John's persistent soul search reminds me of a line from The Lady From Shanghai (Orson Welles 1948): "One who keeps his nature keeps his original nature in the end."
